Guest guest
Wow...summer is one of the best times....birds in the trees...flowers blooming.....cool breezes off the lake..barbeques and friends...music.. games of volleyball on the beach...sailing, jetskiing, boating and parasailing....bonfires and starry skies on moonless nights or full a moon beacon that shine like a spotlight on the ripples of the black of the nighttime lake inside the sandbar.......it's plain beautiful to the limit....and one of my fave summer tunes from way back is Rockin' Robin....partly because it's a play on my first name, and a whole lot because it's a keen tune from my childhood days. And even cooler that some folks who say they don't read my posts have read this one this far.....haha! Well here they are ladies and gents, the lyrics to a real rockin-roller: Rockin' Robin He rocks in the tree-top all a day long Hoppin' and a-boppin' and a-singin' the song All the little birds on J-Bird St. Love to hear the robin goin' tweet tweet tweet [Chorus] Rockin' robin (tweet tweet tweet) Rockin' robin (tweet tweet tweet) Oh rockin' robin well you really gonna rock tonight Every little swallow, every chickadee Every little bird in the tall oak tree The wise old owl, the big black crow Flapping them wings sayin' go bird go [Chorus] A wordy little raven at the bird's first dance Taught him how to do the bop and it was grand He started goin' steady and bless my soul He out popped the buzzard and the oriole He rocks in the tree-top all a day long Hoppin' and a-boppin' and a-singin' the song All the little birds on J-Bird St. Love to hear the robin goin' tweet tweet tweet [Chorus] Isn't that something......Wow! .......bob
