Guest guest
5.2.06 There are those who appear on this list and say they need help. That they are oh so confused and need direction and advice. And there are those most willing to jump in to rescue the helpless one drifting on the ocean of confusion. So on it goes. Except the needly helpless one starts to reveal that underneath he is a know-it-all wise-ass who cleverly pushes aside all the advice he attracts. The whole thing is a ruse, an attention getting device he has used before. Oh poor me. Who will help me. But you find, as the situation develops that he is quite a complex person with layers of defence and is agressive as well. An arrogant critical person who uses camouflage to lure the innocent into his lair. No harm done. It's all in fun. Just perhaps, a waste of time and effort. stuartkfmn <stuartkfmn Nisargadatta Fri, 2 Jun 2006 20:47:21 -0000 Re: Recoil or setback Nisargadatta , " anabebe57 " <anabebe57 wrote: > > Nisargadatta , " stuartkfmn " <stuartkfmn@> > wrote: > > > > In order to allow a realization or ascension to grow, rather than > have > > it die and early death in just moments after it was born, I can > > readjust my shape or structure in order to flow with the new > > experience. To me there is no mantra; there is only the cessation of thoughts... I am unable to meditate for more that 1/20th of a second:-) but I can look between the thoughts!:-) Stu Stu ** If you do not wish to receive individual emails, to change your subscription, sign in with your ID and go to Edit My Groups: /mygroups?edit=1 Under the Message Delivery option, choose " No Email " for the Nisargadatta group and click on Save Changes. For one thing it made me very angry... I didn't know I could get that angry any more. I thought I was too conscious of ego to be so much the effect of it. Also, you are not the first person on a list to tell me that I was asking for help when for the life of me I am unaware that I am doing so! I have always made a point of mentioning my shortcomings in order to make it clear that I am not what I would call " awake " or " enlightened " ... but as you say, maybe I do that in order to manipulate people... to make them relate to me or like me... its possible, I would rather not believe it though. I am blunt and I agree that people often consider me hard to read. I have felt for many years that there are two Stuarts, that often both make comments on the same post, which leads to confusion and irritation. I admit, as Stu the ego, that I love to be a constantly moving target... maybe I do that so as to keep others a tiny bit off balance as they try to spot me... not sure. All I can say is that I am glad you said what you said, and that I did this self analysis. I feel quiet now... so I am glad this happened:-) I just re read my response to you and find that it sounds like I am asking for help... But I am not. I am my only therapist. I responded the way I did because saying what I said would not force me to look at myself in this nakid way if I had only said it to myself... Did I say all this to covertly seek alies... or to expose myself with some of my faults to the eyes of others... The answer depends on which one of me answers:-) Stu > > stuartkfmn <stuartkfmn > Nisargadatta > Fri, 2 Jun 2006 20:47:21 -0000 > Re: Recoil or setback > > > Nisargadatta , " anabebe57 " <anabebe57@> wrote: > > > > Nisargadatta , " stuartkfmn " <stuartkfmn@> > > wrote: > > > > > > In order to allow a realization or ascension to grow, rather than > > have > > > it die and early death in just moments after it was born, I can > > > readjust my shape or structure in order to flow with the new > > > experience. The question is not that you are ego, the question is, what else are you? How much can you embrace? If you can embrace it all, you become all, the infinite as well as the limited. Look into it.
