The mind is that which grasps, considers, reflects. There is that which cannot be grasped, considered, or reflected upon. Therefore there is that which is beyond the reach of the mind. L.E: Yes, there is that which is beyond the reach of mind, yet mind does not exist without it. Mind itself is grasped by what is beyond mind and mind cannot be free of it. Realize this, and everything will come together.

And here I am again, empty of concerns about my identity. But if I was there, and he looked right through me and saw no one there, that would be just super. No grasping: no mind, nothing to be grasped. In words, this is negation -- in truth, there is no negation -- it's just that the assumption of words/mind have no foothold *here.*

It's ego, or self, or you, that does the grasping. Mind is just the reservoir, churning at times, but more like a storage tank. Of course you can see yourself as a part of mind, then perhaps your way of describing the situation is accurate. I suppose in fact, it doesn't really matter whether you or I can descibe ourself accurately. It's a bit like the eye trying to see itself isn't it? You write, " no grasping, no mind, " but isn't it the other way around? We can't have grasping without a mind.

No mind, no grasping. Mind = to have knowledge, to grasp in terms of memory. Memory grasps at memory, mind grasps at mind, grasping invents mind to grasp memory in terms of a self. Self dies, memory has no hold ... Yet life moves on. There is only this movement, unlocated, therefore this is utterly still at the same time that it moves. Moving nowhere, perfectly still, infinite movement. No container nor contained. Freedom. -- Dan
