" Saying that everyone is free from the beginning is just an idea... "

well said

while freedom is our very nature

ironically

it must be earned

the shedding of aeons of baggage

is not at the snap of a finger

Meher Baba said (paraphrase):

I am God and you are God.

The difference is that I know it

and you don't.

substitute 'free' for 'God', and

you get my point that while we

are free inherently, *real freedom*

is in actually KNOWING that in a deep,

" from balls to bone " kind of way.

the existential struggle in which

freedom is not is a miring in words,

and words will not dispel it.

something much stronger is needed to

cut that grease.

Nisargadatta spoke of earnestness and

intensity.

Whether those are sufficient conditions,

certainly they are necessary.
