That they are oh so confused and need direction and advice. And there

are those most willing to jump in to rescue the helpless one drifting

on the ocean of confusion. So on it goes. Except the needly helpless

one starts to reveal that underneath he is a know-it-all wise-ass who

cleverly pushes aside all the advice he attracts. The whole thing is

a ruse, an attention getting device he has used before. Oh poor me.

Who will help me. But you find, as the situation develops that he is

quite a complex person with layers of defence and is agressive as

well. An arrogant critical person who uses camouflage to lure the

innocent into his lair. No harm done. It's all in fun. Just

perhaps, a waste of time and effort.

Hey Larry -

What you say resonates with my experience on more than one list, over

more than one year. ;-)

What appears as openness, may not be so open.

What appears to be closed, may actually be more open than it seems.

Everything you needed to know, you learned in kindergarten:

" Never judge a book by its cover. "

;-)
