OR HOW GOD prefers Lions.

" The man shouted 'God will save me, if he exists', lowered himself by a

rope into the enclosure, took his shoes off and went up to the lions, "

the official said.

" A lioness went straight for him, knocked him down and severed his

carotid artery. "

L.E: I love stuff like that!

See, he prayed to the wrong god. Or, he didn't pronounce the Lords name

correctly. That always pisses him off.

Sad, isn't it (Toombaru says it isn't, but I'm just going by the

subject heading)? How estranged, in degrees, from the God within, we

tend to be. The first act of estrangement results in our seeking that

God outside

ourselves, so that access to The Presence is obstructed by the barrier

dividing inner from outer. The next act would result, as in this fellow's

case, in living with such restricted access to It that only through some

extraordinary trial does one expect dialog. Like a spurned

lover who threatens to commit suicide unless the former lover responds.

And here we are, online, sending out these cryptic signals to some

indistinct someone, hoping to establish some immediate dialog, very

much as did the zooreligionist, and often with similar consequences.

But the extraordinary IS the ordinary. And there is no difference

between you and me, God and wo/man!

Extraordinary!
