Guest guest
[Often] unquestioned 'beliefs': - I should be happy. - I should be content. - I should be peaceful. - I should be relaxed. - I should be " free " . What is the " truth " of it? When I am peaceful I am... when I am not, I am not. How do I react when I believe that I should be peaceful when I am not? I get more " stressed " ! Other unquestioned 'beliefs': - I shouldn't be stressed. - I shouldn't worry. - I shouldn't be afraid. - I should not be vain. - I shouldn't be greedy. What is the " truth " of it? When I am vain I am... when I am not, I am not. How do I react when I believe that I should " not " be vain when I am? I get " depressed " ! Yet, more 'unquestioned' beliefs: - I should be honest. - I should be truthful. - I should be courageous. - I should be faithful. - I should be Right! What is the truth of it? When I am faithful I am... when I am not, I am not. How do I react when I believe that I should be faithful when I am not? I feel 'guilty' and neither enjoy my 'unfaithfulness' nor my 'faithfulness'. The Most 'precious' [and, thus 'unquestioned'] " spiritual " 'belief': - I " should be " 'enlightened'! PS: --------- What happens to " stress " - when - I " love to " stress? - I " look forward to " stress. - I welcome stress with all my Heart! - When I feel it is Perfectly Fine and Great to be " stressed " ! What happens to " stress " ... when I 'don't mind'... 'being stressed'???
