Guest guest
DO IT NOW! http://paroissien.free.fr/ref/doitnow.htm THE EXPLANATION: The only practice there is is called " Abidance as the Self " or " Dwelling in Eternal Being " or " Seeing with the Eye of God " or " keep centered " or " Self-remembering " ... There is a definite taste to settle as the Principle of Light and Eternity and experience the world from here as opposed to get scattered to the four winds of the five senses. Ultimately the reality of the Self Shining Alone imposes itself and the peripheral experience we call living a daily life becomes anecdotic. THE PRACTICE: The paragraph above IS the practice and many masters would not add any advice to it, here we would like to add a substratum to the practice called the " understream of the breath " ... " Deep down in my flesh there is the cosmos flowing steadily and peacefully, as a certainty and a novelty, it is always there as true as the blood stream of life, but pre-exists it, we can't name it but the closest function we have to actually know it is there is the breath, comfortably and harmoniously I breathe this song of the universe within, consciously i acknowledge that this stream is the essence of my consciousness, the place where i observe from, from it the world and life exist, breathing is the eye of my soul. " THE PRACTICE OF PRACTICE: Some masters will tell you that the second paragraph is already redundant and to add a third to it is trusting very little our ability to sustain a practice, well, here it is... I express the physical evidence of my practice with a movement of my body, while at the computer, as i type, my body moves somewhat backward on inspiration (as spine straightens) and forward on expiration, when standing with a free hand i pull air in like a rope and pushes it out like a wall, even more unconspicuously the fist closes tight and firm on inspiration and the hand opens on expiration, without a free hand i raise my head slightly on inspiration (as spine straightens). As i walk in the street my breath goes, 1 in, 1 out, then 2 in, 2 out, then 3-3, etc. until 15, then count down ... (you can count it with steps), if this is too difficult just keep a simple, steady 4-4. The understream of breath will stick to your blood, bones and thinking after a while of practice and one of the various layers of your thinking will impose it gently to you especially in moments of stress and hardship where the practice is supposed to be the hardest ... well it isn't. A hint: the discourse imposes to the thought a pattern of one-line process but actually thinking is the activity of several distinct areas that act simultaneously and don't necessarily want/need to cooperate, breathing practice harmonizes the chaos. [the above sums up quite accurately 10 years of working on the breath]

Less than a blink of the eye of a nanosecond. 1-2-1-2: Way too much effort The breath: What a distraction
