Guest guest
When I googled " of ease, " google came up with, among other things, " Religion of Ease, " as what Islam is all about! Who, post 9/11 bruhaha, would have thunk it? It calls itself The Religion of Ease, " " ... God desires ease for you; He does not desire difficulty for you... " and " God, in the Qur'an, declares that religion is easy and that He will make things easier for those who follow their religion: We will ease you to the Easy Way . (Qur'an, 87:8) ' He has selected you and not placed any constraint upon you in the observance of your religion & #65533;the religion of your forefather Abraham & #65533; (Qur'an, 22:78) Our Prophet (saas), in the light of these verses, invites us in following our religion to declare: & #65533;Religion is easiness. & #65533; (Sahih Bukhari) The practices and beliefs that people see as hardships have been added to religion and passed on as if they were a part of the real religion by polytheists or by people who deny religion and try to distance others from religion. Yet others have adopted an ostentatious manner in their observance of religion, thinking that if they perform harder things to show themselves as more pious, that will be more generally acceptable. However, our Prophet (saas) has always ordered Muslims around him to make religion & #65533;easier. & #65533; As a result, righteous Muslims should obey this command and should not suffer the consequences of representing easy things as hard. One of our Prophet's (saas) sayings on this matter is as follows: " Make things easy for the people, and do not make it difficult for them, and make them calm (with glad tidings) and do not repulse (them). " (Sahih Bukhari) In this book, in accordance with the advice of our Prophet (saas), we are reminded of how easy it is to live God's religion. Furthermore, it is explained that the religion of Islam encourages the lifestyle most suitable to a person's temperament, comfort, and happiness: a life lead by the morals of the Qur'an is the best possible life a person can live. " The following also came up: " Ideology of Ease, " was written by the author of http://faculty.wiu.edu/CB-Dilger/texts/ which examines the history of ease in " composition, " or the teaching of writing. While reading which, I came across the following quotation, " writng is the gatekeeper to the life of ease. " Christ " said, " " My yoke is easy, and my burden is light. " I'm sorry to have to add, however, that the opposite has also been attributed to Him, " If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and the gospel's will save it. For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his life? For what can a man give in return for his life? For whoever is ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him will the Son of Man also be ashamed when he comes in the glory of his Father with the holy angels. " (Mark 8:31-38 ESV) Sounds a bit daunting, doesn't it? Or does it?

At first there's a lot of " Oooh....aaahh " and later on there will screaming and running for their lives. It does not matter if it's the Bible, the Quran or the Jurassic Park. But please don't send me one of your seemingly indignant responses. I'm not talking about you, I'm talking about myself. ~*~
