The only difference for me is the " letting go " part. When I really *see* that there is nothing worth holding onto, I don't need to let go. And if I *don't* see that, then " letting go " is not gonna be real anyway. I assume that you do see that there is nothing worth holding onto, and that " letting go " then is a reminder to yourself of that fact. That's my guess anyway. My point, then, is that I am skeptical of advocating " letting go " as being helpful to anyone. The turning point seems to hinge on TRUE DESPAIR regarding whatever one might " believe in " (to use your term).
