I at times have taken exception to Pete's ruthless style.

In fact I did so quite recently on this list. But I know

where he stands. There is a directness and honesty that

I value. It is dishonesty and hypocrisy that I still am

unable to see with complete detachment (give me time, I

suppose). And I don't see those qualities in Pete's posts.

In the poem he writes above he is straight-on about what

he is. So I can only appreciate his honesty there.

You're teaching me a lot about literalists.

As long as you see yourself, as indeed you must (as what you claim

others to be: hypocritical, dishonest, etc.), you will be blind to

your true nature -- which can never be seen by the literalist eye.

Comfortable with Literalists:

Pete Pete and rePete, you're slowing down in your old age??????;-)

I sent this on the 19th I think, should have addressed it just for U.

SHAKTI

I will not be kind this time

I will take pleasure in your suffering

You will mark your words with me

You will fasten your soul to my spirit

And your yoke will be a spinning wheel of desire

I shall be indifferent

I shall be intolerant

And you will gather like dust under my feet,

You will be in awe of heaven.

Does anyone know that Pete was my first dancing partner?????

And he stepped on my toes a few times too...;-)
