Guest guest
Seeking enlightenment is just another mind-game, like making it in the rat race or making a million dollars. There's no clinical difference between the two. 2,500 years ago a man happened to sit under a bodhi tree in India and ceased to suffer, and ever since that incident people all over the world sit in meditation in the hope that they too will cease to suffer. But why should what worked for the Buddha work for you? The Buddha could've slipped on a banana skin and awakened to his True Nature, but that wouldn't mean that the banana skin caused his Enlightenment! Just imagine if that had happened, Buddhists today would spend 8 hours a day practising slipping on banana skins! There would be a whole plethora of schools dedicated to the banana method of enlightenment, each with different run ups and slipping techniques... Medics on hand. Awakening has nothing to do with methods and practices. So relax.
