I don't know why that is. I can guess that maybe, it is something commercial i.e. they tell their " customers " [chelas] what they want to " buy " [hear]. It is possible that if the idea of 'eternal happiness', 'eternal bliss' and everlasting love was taken out of realization - many " clients " [seekers] would back out. My second guess is that they might believe that " when " they are " enlightened " - they are " perfectly happy " but, when they are not " perfectly happy " they are not enlightened i.e. 'nirvana' is a 'state' and not a 'transformation'. Like when you are in deep sleep, you are free of all worries, you are just yourself, you are " happy " but just because you enter deep sleep every night doesn't mean that you are 'permanently transformed'. i.e. you can enter and exit 'nirvana' just like you enter and exit 'deep sleep'. In this way, nirvana is nothing but the state of deep sleep while awake but, the process of entering 'nirvana' doesn't destroy your " potential " to enter 'samsara' and 'dukha' again and, even Buddha [as a person] may not have its permanent adobe in 'nirvana'. At any time, mind has many 'possibilities'. Entering 'nirvana' [deep sleep like state while awake] open one more possibility, one more door but, it doesn't automatically close all other possibilities like rage, anger, hate, jealousy, lust, attachment, samsara, dukha. Your tendency might gravitate more towards the one you find more pleasant [which would be normally nirvana] but, it would not automatically establish you there in a permanent way. And, event called enlightenment is simply the name given to the first entry into 'nirvana' but it is not an automatic, permanent end of all other 'mind states' and all other 'mental possibilities'. Is that your experience too?
