Guest guest
Someone please return to me my alabaster arms, Search the seven seas, Speak with Poseidon and the mermaids or men, Speak with the song of the sirens or the howling wind, churning sea, Speak with the tides that rush To the shores that wears away the colours in sea glass And is the smoothness of stones, Wash strange creatures To the shore, to the eternal sea, Speak to each grain of drifting sand As it reflects both sun and moon, Fleeing from a small child's cupped hands filled with lingering time... Someone please return my face, I place no head above my own, Return to me what is mine, Neither antiquity nor solemn occasion Shall ever devastate me again, and what I ask is so rightfully mine. I shall not be shrouded or veiled and will not allow these parts of Myself to be hidden away at any cost, at any price, I rise from the sea, I am the gift of the earth, I am Venus, Broken-armed and faceless, I am Your Love, The morning star, shining, Your awakening sojourn into your own Soul. 7/14/
