Stick:

 

Love,

Indirectly offering

A less painful alternative

 

Urgent

 

This is the punitive

The predatory Way.

 

Like parrots

So imprinted,

We imitate this Way

 

The Way of darkness,

Rage, shame and guilt:

 

Here, we're thrown

Back into the brier patch

Whence we were born

 

This is the snake.

Here love is occluded

But familiar.

 

Here is either/or:

" My way or the highway "

Black or white

Duality.

 

II.

 

The

Carrot:

 

Love given directly,

The means is the ends,

Beyond duality

 

Unhurried

 

The rope, taken for what it is.

 

This is the nurturing Way.

The Way of Light

 

Nuanced, sensitive

Subtle, multifaceted

Colorful, gentle, compassionate

Boundless

Infinite

Eternal

 

All consuming,

Feared because

Utterly unfamilial

White Light

 

Here is nothing

But Love Loving Love

 

To experience this in all its clarity

Is to live in Grace

 

Grace is love loving love

In its purest transparency

 

Translucency

Radiance

 

Unspeakable....
