Guest guest
I wonder how many silent realized people there are in the world who just sit in silence keeping to themselves. The Buddha, upon awakening mulled over the possibility of keeping it to himself because it would be difficult to explain to others. There are some who are realized and would not be good teachers, while there are some who are both and are called sadgurus. I write in the conventional language so if anyone wants to, they can assume all individuals spoken of are dream characters. In the word 'realisation' the s has a z sound. So why don't you foreigners spell it with a z as do we Americans who messed up what is a beautiful language?

I'm not quite sure how to take some of you here. For example when you yourself say " no¨- one here is realized " I can start wondering where you are coming from with that statement! I'm quite well read on all this stuff, and I'm aware that " self-realised " people say the there is no enlightenment, and yet, some say that the idea of enlightenment is very important. Also, when one reads descriptions of " self-realised " people, it becomes apparent that some fundamental change, or realisation, as occurred. For one thing, consciousness appears to be able to operate on different levels. Then there are verbal descriptions where such as " the lamps have been repositioned " (who said that? Aquinas?) or some speak of a vast infinite eternal space. I also have had a few strange experiences on waking, that have indicated to me there is something other than this everyday consciousness. Can it be refered to as ultimate knowledge?

Oh, by the way, are you sure there is such a thing as realizing your own nature? Maybe you are hoping about something that is just a mental construct that has no more truth to it than an imagining. So why don't you > foreigners spell it with a z as do we Americans who messed up what is > a beautiful language? There isn't a realization of something, there is only disinvesting in self-constructed illusion and deception. You can't get this from someone else. Not from someone else's words, example, or way of doing things. Because that image of someone else, is part of the illusion. No way around it. Even if the illusion says someting beautiful, like " I am the way, the truth, the life. " Disinvest in whatever promise you think that image holds for you. I wasn't really in mess before I came here... Of course there is suffering, but you know, Niz's suggestion to meditate on the sense I am has helped me a lot. There was no need for me to come here. I had a few questions about Prana etc, and they were kind of answered (thanks). But by and large, since I came here, I've got more and more entangled in trying to disentangle myself from what everyone is saying. A lot of contradictory stuff and there's always this " last word " thing, or " last concept " that's supposed to be " truer " . If anything, all this confusion and nonsense has messed up my mind, but only the sense the junk mail clutters my letterbox. I don't read junk mail. Sorry ... no intention here to offend-
