Guest guest Posted July 20, 2006 Report Share Posted July 20, 2006 The pavement stinks and the crowds shuffle by, Hard-hearted, distant-minded and gravely ill with the affliction known as present-day society, quiet riots inside make-shift prisons, embodied broken spirits, undistinguished in the morning overture of birds of a feather city creatures flightless ensembles entering into the preamble of the day, eyes downcast, staring at tight-fitting designer shoes cell phones ringing ringing ringing There is no sudden apology, even if chances are, seriously and meritoriously lacking to provide benefit with even the slightest provocation, an alternative point of view complementing fancy costumes in runaway colours already wrinkling in mass consumption, insolvent commodities of time gambled away on heavy feet walking nowhere faster than any dancer can, walking just outside the confines of another day, another dollar, Energy, useless and spent. Anna 7/19 & 20/2006 p.s. ...and yet, once in awhile a body walks by, feels 'presence' and smiles.
