Guest guest
The5th anniversary of 9/11 is will soon be here. If there is a god then have people thought about the part god play in the events of that day? There are many spiritual people that think being spiritual means having nothing to do with political thoughts and subjects, and with the ordinary practical things that make the world work! They see themselves as being above the mundane day to day things of this world. And there are the practical minded people that think that the problem can be solved if as individuals and as a collection of individuals everyone beavers away collecting facts and information about the wrongs of this world and then believe that things will change. Individuals will change but the powers in the background remain constant This post below can be seen as 1 of 2 things, it can be seen as spam, someone desperate to sell their book and have people visit their site, or it can be seen as someone who is trying to show everyone what the spiritual message of the events of 9/11 were so that people can understand and come to terms as to why it happened and why all those people died. Politics in the USA has become too divisive! The attacks on America on 9/11 for a short time brought people together, but the unity of the people has been betrayed and misused by both the politicians and the politicised political leaders. The spiritual message of 9/11 has been missed by all America! To see and understand what has been missed go to www.megsabwotrfaday.com <http://www.megsabwotrfaday.com/> James

" The above sounds suspiciously like an 'eye for an eye'. " An eye for an eye makes the whole world go blind " MK Gandhi. Those who know me, know I say THIS IS the spiritual world, inhabited by humans, some acting with great compassion and understanding, some acting from the ignorance of separation and even the ignorance of thinking there is a spiritual world vs. a mundane world ie. a spiritual person and an ordinary person, deluded or otherwise. Until we get to the top and bottom of what causes conflict, war, hate, prejudice, misery and isolation, which IMHO a condition created by a thinking pattern of US and THEM. Eradicate that idea and we don't ever have to kill anyone to protect and/or defend any thought or thinker ever again. Our desire to eradicate the false belief, is itself a false belief. " Us " and " them " are alive and well, when believing there is an " us " who being wonderfully aware knows about compassion, and a " them " who ignorantly believes in an eye for an eye. Any of " us " can turn into one of " them " the moment someone has the intent to harm our child. As well we should. -- Dan

As well we should. > > -- Dan > Very good observation Dan, I have often said I would not want to know what set of circumstances would turn me into what I now consider inhuman treatment of one to another. Notwithstanding that consideration, there is the fact, alive and well, of a mass scale desire to annihilate for no other reason except judgments that have been handed down from generation to generation. Perpetuated and perpetrated ad infinitum. I do not have issue with anyone for their race, colour, creed national origin or social status. I would say the majority on this list would concur, without any doubt. Do you really think/believe/feel that what causes conflict is the desire to change the IDEA of us and them --making someone into Other -- to be less than (I'm talking here of world situations not guru worship which is more than) what 'I' am IS what causes conflict? That is what I address. Changing the idea that there is us and them, and yes in a sense it is contradictory. Nothing is smooth in its inception or transition. Conflict is inherent in the word two, as long as two people are alive, there will be 'conflict'. Look into our own homes, our marriages, our siblings, our parents, our children. Plenty there. However, there is a monumental difference between what goes on in a loving nurturing home, the overcoming of conflict actually can and does make a family member and the family itself a stronger unit. There is no energy lost in the universe, however we view it. There is a difference in propagating ancient wounds, or creating new ones. I am firm on this point. Namaste, Anna p.s. until all humanity can say Namaste and truly know we are one behind our faces and skins, we are doomed as a species. Hi Anna - I don't believe that changing the way people think from one way to another is going to resolve the problem of interhuman conflict. Because there will be conflict over who is to be the one with the right recipe for the right change. And there will be conflict over how to implement the change and who is doing it right. Because people believe that they way they think determines their reality, they are in the conflict between what they want to think, what they do think, and the way things are that doesn't fit with what they think. So, thought can't be the basis for an end of conflict. Putting " belief-energy " into thought, is how much human conflict gets going, imo. If we are or aren't doomed as a species, one who is aware of a scope beyond the human species, won't view this issue (about " being doomed " ) the same as one who is imbedded in an existence confined to a particular encapsulated human being. In other words, what " makes us one human being " isn't a way of thinking that certain human beings have. It is the scope of awareness that transcends the human being, and forms the human being (and also the ant, the air, the atom, the mountain), that is the *knowing/being* that the human being isn't divided into an " us " part and a " them " part. -- Dan
