It hasn't just been fluttering its wings, its been pounding away with them. The results of what has already been done, have just begun to be experienced. And it can't be undone. Besides that, if you understand human conceptuality, technology, and competition, you realize there is no way for groups of humans not to try to get the advantage of the other group. This is how technology has been developed over the centuries (check out the beginning of 2001 A Space Oddessy). If one group stops being the one on top of the pyramid of wealth, resource-control, and technology, another group will step in. The only way through this, is to go through it. This, as well as war, is the inevitable result of humans living out the human program. We is one human being, seemingly fragmented, and includes our competition, cooperation, technology, spirituality, love, hate, wisdom, and stupidity. If it makes you feel better to turn down your thermostat, and drive less, by all means do so. It is human to want to feel some sense of control. We can't help, as human beings, being human. Sometimes, it is human to give up a sense of control. But those are just twin sides of the coin called " being human. " -- D.
