I have observed lions, tigers, elephants and they do look kind of 'unworried', 'unconcerned', 'unbothered' and kind of *relaxed*, *unhurried* and *at ease* [maybe, possibly also at *peace*]! I have also observed rats, mice, squirrels in the proximity of humans - beautiful creatures they no doubt are but, they hardly look *at peace*, *unhurried*, relaxed or *at ease*! My last boss who was in US marine before joining software industry frequently talked about sitting in the *hot seat* in his boss's office if he failed to get timely information on the project from each member! I have heard this *hot seat* expression being used frequently in the media too - I think it signifies being very *uncomfortable*, not being at ease, not being at peace. It perhaps attempts to describe someone twitching, turning, twisting in his/her chair [because of internal discomfort] as if his/her chair was Hot! I have frequently heard this *hot seat* in the context of talking to the *boss* and rarely in the context of talking to a subordinate! And, thus again, I wonder how much control our *Sense of Power* has over our internal state and how independent it is of the concept of " spiritual " or " philosophical " advancement! ....and, then, again, I have also seen many of those who are *in power* at office start turning and twitching in their chair [as if their chair had turned HOT] the minute they started talking to their wife!
