i'd like to suggest

that life is not,

indeed, a play,

although it may

appear to be one,

on any given day.

i'd say

that the true test of what is,

is what it is, and can be,

at best,

in every way.

If --

What

can maintain, pertain, remain

when all else blows from the terrain

whatever keeps one sane

despite the thunder and the rain

it's not your mine

what am i

inside

behind

beneith

at the center

of what i am?

what's the reason

at my core?
