You have been digging all these years

and finally you hit pay dirt, so what did

you get? Buddha said, he got zilch.

Obviously, that can't be the whole truth,

even the most shallow satori molds the

mind in a certain way. Seldom, we revert

to see things and ourselves the way we

saw those before.

 

So what was the big payoff for you?

 

1) The conceptual fog lifted: No more

doubts or questions. If someone asks

a question, the answers effortlessly flows.

Insights seems to spring up unbidden. You

are never at a lost for words. You never

doubt your answers are right, yet you know

all answers are equally false.

 

2) The sense of separation is gone. Neither

death, nor change, nor the future are a concern.

If trouble or pain strikes, you bounce back, and

either fight, or accept without losing your cool.

 

3) What seemed like outside and drab feels now

intimate, beautiful and fulfilling.

 

4) There is a sense of space, and emptiness,

and yet an impenetrable presence fills the

void.

 

5) There is luminous awareness, and yet it

seems to float in a dark impenetrable

unknowing.
