Many words from the head and a few from the heart

--------

In duality I am the fear for what is longed for and the longing for

what is feared. That sets up a problem that is unmoving solid and

persists and is the source of time.

--------

I am the space the story is played out within, but all I can see is

the story so that is what I identify with as me… Except sometimes I

notice that I am inspecting the one who is the story, the ego. But

the watcher and the watched are both the same ego. They are both the

product of the head, not the heart.

-------

I mistake that which is noticeable for that which can notice. That

which does notice is not the aware space. That which can notice is

the aware space.

Duality is a viewer and something to view.

If one is gone both are gone. Identify with neither or both at once,

and there is no duality.

So, if I listen to my heart, feel my heart, live in my heart, will I

be beyond duality?

Is the truly nondual person the one with the warm and gentle heart?

the heart knows intimately and immediately that which the

mind will never understand...

the heart is always willing to be misunderstood.

how do we betray our heart?

blindly, the heart loves

and lives with

two or more

beloveds.

when one or more depart,

following,

the heart breaks

apart.

by Amanda McBrooom

from the soundtrack to " The Rose "

As sung by Bette Midler

Some say love, it is a river

that drowns the tender reed.

Some say love, it is a razor

that leaves your soul to bleed.

Some say love, it is a hunger,

an endless aching need.

I say love, it is a flower,

and you its only seed.

It's the heart afraid of breaking

that never learns to dance.

It's the dream afraid of waking

that never takes the chance.

It's the one who won't be taken,

who cannot seem to give,

and the soul afraid of dyin'

that never learns to live.

When the night has been too lonely

and the road has been too long,

and you think that love is only

for the lucky and the strong,

just remember in the winter

far beneath the bitter snows

lies the seed that with the sun's love

in the spring becomes the rose.

(and the rose forgives herself for her thorns)

love,

Other than the last two lines at the bottom of this thread, non of

what you guys said makes any sense to me.

If what you want to get out of your quest for enlightenment is

romantic love between two people, than to me it sounds like you idea

of enlightenment is duality! Romantic love is yin and yang.

When I said the word heart, I was not talking about romance, I was

simply referring to a symbolic center of self. The egoic need for

romance has nothing to do with it.

Dearest Stu,

Universal Love, the center of Self, the heart and soul of humanity,

so to speak, includes all, including human romantic love as well as

agape, etc. etc. etc.

It is in the rising and descending of the ever-present kundalini.

Do you FEEL it?

If 'you' don't 'you' are speaking words, dearOne that have no

substance. IMHI.

First... sorry I screwed up the order of the posts on this thread:-)

You feel this far more fully than I do... I sense no throbing or

rising and decending of a life energy.

I feel a spacious silence...

Please say more about this " kundalini " that I have never felt? It

sounds beautiful... but beautiful things are often lures at the end of

a fishing line...

Understand that I am starting from the belief that Kundalini is a

phenomenon that occurs within duality and within the human nervious

system...?
