Guest guest
The most common types of allergic reactions-hay fever, some kinds of asthma, and hives-are produced when the immune system response to a false alarm. In a susceptible person, a normally harmless substance-grass pollen or house dust, for example-is perceived as a threat and is attacked. <http://www.healthgoods.com/education/health_information/Immune_System/allergy.h\ tm> .... The common [re]action of the defense [immune] system usually results in high temperature, body ache and pain as well as other physical discomfort. When this reaction by the defense systems occurs; it usually destroys the taste of your mouth and even the most delicious food start tasting tasteless to you. Al your body senses kind of get focused on the fever, headache, ache, pain and other effects that these reactions produce and the rest of the world kind of goes out of your view. I noticed that on psychic level too, there is 'something' that works like the defense[immune] system - some consider it a part of the *ego* system - some call it the *ego* system itself! When it works at the *psychic* level - there too we experience *psychic* *fever*, ache, pain and discomfort. Our taste gets distorted and even the most delectable things appear tasteless! All our energies get sucked in dealing with all these reactionary effects and the rest of the world disappears from our view. What makes it even more hazardous is that many times these reactions are not really needed and many other times are they are greatly exaggerated! Further, in some cases, whereas the real *threat* itself lasts for very few moments, the reaction that this defense system starts - lasts Much Longer! Once it has [correctly or falsely] believed a danger - it starts preparing much earlier, keeps itself in that 'reactionary' mode much longer after the real threat has already passed. ... In some situations, in its exaggerated " reactionary " mode it attacks that which it considers a *threat* even before that *threat* has really attacked or even thought of ay attack and in doing so it many times triggers the " reactionary " mechanism in the " other " thereby materializing the threat that wasn't even there! And, when that happens, it gets even more " reactionary " thinking that its belief of the threat was Real and that further perpetuates its " reactionary " cycle and its resultant pain!
