Guest guest
||||||||||||||||||pramana NDP Hi , And yet.. when you wake up there is the sense that all that passed was a 'dream'. There are nor chariots, no elephants, no ticker tape and where did that babe go? The mode of awareness called 'dream' has been sublated i.e. sub latio or drawn under the greater reality of the waking state. This is the classic Advaita of Shankaracarya. Likewise and similarly the waking condition with its relativity is drawn under the nondual realisation of the unity of being. The idea is that there is a progressive developement and there is a progressive path. Opposed to that is the sudden drop which is well noted in the annals of enlightenment. By the bye the word 'enlightenment' is fine and though tarnished by commerce a rub of the hem of Ramakrishna's dhoti brings it up like new. " When hearing the name of Hari or Rama once, you shed tears and your hair stands on end, then you may know for certain that you do not have to perform such devotions as the sandhya any more. Then only will you have a right to renounce rituals; or rather, rituals will drop away of themselves. Then it will be enough if you repeat only the name of Rama or Hari, or even simply Om " (Ramakrishna) Michael.
