*Work* is a very powerful techinque taught by Byron Katie.

Doing " work " many times, reminds me of

books that I read on " positive

thinking " and " optimism " ! It especially

reminds me of one book that I read as a

child. As far as I can remember, this

gave many positive ideas including:

- Whenever you feel unlucky, deprived

and unfortunate - remember three things

that you are really glad to have.

- Whenever you find a place bad,

uncomfortable, unpleasant - notice

three things that you like about this

place.

- Whenever you find a situation

helpless, frustrating, sad - think of

tree positive things that you can do

here, think of three positive things

that you can learn from this situation.

- Whenever you find a condition

unfavorable and challenging - notice

three ways it can help you grow.

- Anytime you get angry at a loved one -

remember three things that you like

about him/her! After remembering three

good things about him/her, say what you

want to say if you still find it

necessary or useful.

- Anytime you get angry at your

parents - remember three great things

that they have done for you.

- Anytime you get angry at a friend -

remember three incidents in which this

friend has been nice to you.

- When a stranger cuts you off,

insults you or treat you badly and you

feel bad about the society and the

mankind - remember three incidents in

which people has been really nice to you.

And, lastly...

- Before you fall asleep in the night – notice three things

for which you feel thankful to God.

- When I wake up in the morning – remember

three great things that GOD has given you that you

are still have are grateful for.

Many times, when I do " work " and come

to " turn around " ; I feel like visiting

same place and learning same lessons

all over again!

----------------

*Work*

Four Questions 1. Is it true?

2. Can you absolutely know that it's true?

3. How do you react when you believe that thought?

4. Who would you be without the thought?

And remember to turn it around.

alter

natively,

" just " * drop the delusion of power, either yours or another's --

" just " * drop the delusion of ego, which is

powerfulness/powerlessness --

(*but it has to be thorough and ongoing, ie, " just, " meaning, " just do

nothing other than. " All other spiritual " work " is folly -- compared

to this. At best, it leads to this.)
