OK........let's admit it!

Vegetarainism is just another form of vanity.

At its best...it is a fear based form of self-protectionism.

The physical self touts the harmful effects of eating meat...hoping to

prolong its personal nightmare.......the psychological self seeks a

more peaceful enviornment....one in which it continue its self-induced

torpor......and the spiritual self seeks to avoid the harmful effects

of something it calls karma.

At its worst it a boring, braggadocio subject.....brought up even

before the waiter gets to the table.

How about this?

If it is alive.........and isn't poisoness....you can eat it.

the cosmic soup

to the bottom,

" poisoness " ?

your spelling is hard to digest.

but any position that meets with as much resistance as toom displays,

can't be all bad, eh?

if only because it's such a pleasure to see opposing views. The

contrast is refreshing. But then, critics and connoisseurs such as

myself are perhaps THE worst!

(I'm beginning to miss all the childish rivalry that once dominated

this site. .bob, wanna fight somebody? [Anybody but me, however.])

It is much simpler.

Do you enjoy the

taste on your tongue

knowing beings die

in fear and squalor?

Just connect the dots.

How can you not act

differently?

The very same vanity of me and mine.

The tongue is just one sense for

self interest to rule our day.

And so we are slaves to the

pleasant and the unpleasant.

Unconsciously acting for self

gratification thru the senses

....and so it goes...

Only when the true horrors of illusory separation are glimpsed...is

one able to limp into the emptiness.

Emptiness gives birth to compassion,

horror notwithstanding.
