Guest guest
Namaste, The four Varnas or castes were instituted to indicate a common truth not a system of discrimination and oppression as it is today. They were not meant to be written in stone. 1. Brahmin---Highly developed spiritually. 2. Kshatriyas--soldiers and administrators. 3. Vaisyas---businessmen and traders. 4. Sudras or the working mostly manual classes. Underneath all of these are the non castes or lowest of the lows the Dalits, beloved of Gandhi. As you can see above most of todays's Brahmins are imposters, and are really lower castes pretending to know something. Having a name like Sharma for example doesn't make on a Brahmin, birth doesn't make one a true Brahmin. Many of the great sages weren't Brahmin caste. It is one's state of awareness and spiritual/intellectual development that makes one a Brahmin........Many great sages and jivanmuktas were not Brahmins.................Tony.
