Permanence is the way the slowwitted see change. Buddha said: " life is suffering, " and the fifth nobel truth: " Get use to it. " Once you achieve Nirvana you have nothing to look forward to, matter of fact, you have nothing to look forward now. And the good news is: Eternal nothingness is no problem if you're unconscious.
