Collective Intelligence

Individual ants are very dumb, but an

ant colony is very smart. An ant colony

is like a city state. It has soldiers, workers,

and a queen, but no priests. See, smart!

There is a species of ants that discovered

that some tree resins kill bacteria. How could

ants figure that one out? Some say by

chance. Suppose, they never intended to

bring the resin home, but only the bugs trap in

crystalized resin, and little by little they acquired

a test for resin.

Still, how can chance explain so many dumb

bugs acting so intelligently in so many different

ways? Their societies work better than ours.

True, they have been at it for more than 100

million years, but still it seems there is a hidden

guiding hand here.

Maybe we should rethink intelligence. Maybe

it doesn't need thought, nor choice, nor

consciousness. Maybe it's something more primal,

maybe even something inorganic, blind, and yet

unerring.

no 'maybe,' baby.

the hidden guiding hand of the universe IS the universe

all interconnected

each cell is like a 'dumb' ant

not really dumb

not really smart

ants (no more or less than humans)'have' elaborate language skills

like bees

and they do have their priests

it's just that they're part time

so they will try to bring the

slackers up to speed

yeah, each ant has its own personality

believe it or not

that's what i hear

is the 'latest'

the task of a human life....is to realise absolut liberation

no other tasks.....

it doesn't matter how many ants are running around...and also

how....and also why....

they have other tasks...

wish you to find out....what exactly our task is.....

Marc

Ps: it's more an individual task....

as That....what is found out....reached....or just " seen " ....and

felt.....and known....and experienced.....

is kind of " ndividual " too......

there is nothing but this " individual " existing....

some call

it " Brahman " ....some " Self " ....some " Soul " .....some " Love " .....some " G

od "

up to.... " you " ....to be yourSelf
