What Is Trust?

" Trust me, I'm telling the truth. "

In other words,

" Love me, I'm offering love. "

But why should we trust you?

You may think you know the truth,

but you may not know the truth at all.

After all, who are you?

Who am I? to trust You?

Now you'll say that you're so sure of your relationship to Truth,

that you don't care whether I love you or not.

So why do you post?

You'll say, " because I do, I'm on autopilot, spoken to by the Muses. "

And you trust the Muses? Does that mean we should?

What is Trust?

Isn't it a feeling of being " at home " with something so repetitive

and reliable, so comforting and

present, that we tend to identify with it, feel AT ONE with it?

And you say, feel AT ONE with ALL of IT:

It's NONDUAL!

But you admit that there are those things that you DON'T feel

AT HOME with AT ALL. But then you say

that these things are negligible, relatively speaking, and that

ULTIMATELY these " bad " things

fall away or

that ultimately we will all be dead, anyway,

and it doesn't matter.

And you keep repeating this, in the hope that it will itself make

you feel permanently AT HOME

with the world, with life, with the whole kit and caboodle.

And sometimes it seems to work, and sometimes it doesn't.

And when it doesn't, you just try

harder, or try a new angle, or spend more time repeating:

" There's no place like home, this place is home,

I've always been at home, I'll always be at home. "

So, Dorothy, let's all just keep following the Internet highway,

off to seen the Wizard, the

wonderful Wizard of Nis, because, because, because he Is...

Not to sound a sour note. I'm just saying.

What IS trust, really?

And I won't accept any " you/I'll know it

when you/I see it, " because I DON'T

TRUST UNEXAMINED TRUST.

" The unexamined life is not worth living, "

and the unexamined truth is not worth trusting.

" Unless ye be like children " :

well, children, intelligent, bright children

are VERY skeptical.

Oh, yes we are...

i trust the above trusty old demonstration has entrusted to you a

better understanding of 'what is trust'. i'm a believer...but 'it's'

all up to 'you'. sorta seems trust, like love and joy and sorrow and

sharing and privating and on and on...are all a little vapid if taken

to the city limits. and it doesn't matter anyway. it is.

the heart is not always trustworthy:

everyone should know that by now

and all there is Is Not the Self:

when it ISN'T

friends come and go:

you can't always depend on them,

anyone who has friends knows this

'Real friends':

Real Santa's?

rely on luck?

what choice is there?

I'm just saying that there is something called " pap " --

google it.

Marc, when do you know when you're offering something valuable as

opposed to when you're just offering pap?

And if you tell me that you don't make the distinction between

pap and significant truth:

" the unexamined life is not worth living. "

If you haven't examined and tested your truths,

then, they're most definitely, most likely: pap.
