Conversation Stoppers

People on All Lists have their own favorite

conversation stoppers:

I'm going to name them by the frequency they

occur:

1) To address just one paragraph, sentence

or even just one word of what you write.

2) To write not about what you wrote, but

about another subject your post reminded

them of.

3) To use your post to show how glib, or

witty they can be.

4) By ignoring your ideas and attacking

your credibility or qualifications to have

such ideas.

5) By simply talking of something else.

I'm sure you could think of many more,

or change the subject altogether, or make

a joke. Anyway, usually by the 3rd or 4th

post in any thread the subject matter is no

longer the same.

all is change. i don't want to answer in one sentence. i am writing

about what you posted. I'm not trying to be witty or glib because i am

not. I am giving due attention to your idea, i'm awed by your

credibility and qualifications regarding the above.this is all i am

referring to and talking about at the moment. and i agree 100%. all is

change...but the changeling cannot be found or talked about.

fascinating rhythm though, and a swell dance for mystic dancers

whenever, wherever and winkin', blinkin' and nod. now what what was

the conversation about originally? i mean the 'original' conversation.

now that would be a show stopper for sure. in the first conversation

who knew that the other understood words like themselves? that was

some smart monkey!
