Guest guest
to study ant colonies and get a glimpse of their city equivalent. but when we set one up and study this organization of some 1.5 million individuals we can't find any ghettos or homeless ants. there are no jails nor pens. there wasn't one ant in the multitude that was fighting for position or 'rightness' nor righteousness. the existence of the colony and it's survival were the first and final reality. every non self-centered unit went about it's duty of being within the colony and maintaining the colony's, and thereby it's own, reality and survival in spacetime. it's amazing with man creatures: that among billions of self-centered individuals, who put their own personal phantom agendas first in order of interest and duty, that there is a 'social' organization at all let alone those colonies known as 'cities' running practically or even being constructed. thank god for money. with the belief in money, and what it will do for the individual. the individual will group together and build cities and clean up garbage and maintain sewers and police the outlaw self-centereds who see their duty as not working for this money stuff that is the only known and recognized redeemer and facilitator of individuals or groups within the system. in this fashion, the bio-unit does in co-operation with 'others' what needs to be done to build or create and maintain the city or town or family or nation or world and it's existence and 'future' survival. Thereby creating, validating and giving reason to the individual and the society at large. i do wonder at times if maybe each little ant is busy talking with themselves about something or other all day long as they go about their communal thing. it would have to be a strange conversation or monologue, given that it would be coming from a selfless place. what could the story be or motive for 'thinking' or talking with oneself when one isn't interested in oneself.. but rather one's world and sole reality..for real, not lip service. i know people walk around all day with more happening in their heads and thoughts than their hands and hearts. the story running around upstairs in the bio-unit is the one that justifies, and explains, and creates the set and setting for what appears to be happening. and yet big business runs, and government does what it does, and cities get built and on and on. it must be like those zen or cloistered christian monks. prayers or koans or 'silencing' all day long while tending the garden or baking bread or building a chapel stone by stone. and you want to know why? oh that's just another story. in your head. or not. it's a wonderment and it's wonderful. .b
