In my experience, following are the

things that create human actions:

#1. SENSES: Moving away from immediate

danger/fear/pain

#2. SENSES: Moving towards immediate pleasure

#3. SENSES: Curiosity - Understanding things around you.

#4. KARMA: Immediate Reactivity. Doing what 'you think'

other has just done to you. Repeating what you have

heard.

# 5. Unconscious Love: Relating - Socializing,

connecting with other humans/animals/nature.

#6. Unconscious Love: Creation, Self expression

#7. Karma: Habit/conditioning - doing the

same thing that one has done before in

the same scenario. Also known as

character, personality

#8. Ego gratification

#9. Fear of future pain

#10. Hope of future pleasure

#11. Personal Love - for example love

for kids, spouse, parents, social group

or country.

#12. Religion and belief - For example,

belief in Koran, Bible.

#13. Ideals - for examples, one's stand

for peace, love, freedom, justice, equality, creativity.

14. Freedom: Desire to get out of the 'cycle'.

Desire to know Self

#15. Ideals: Serving Realization, liberation, enlightenment.

#16. Universal Love - Love of 'God', Love

of creation', love of ALL, Love of the Process

In my experience, factors on top of this list

act far more easily than the ones at the bottom

and it takes some sort of personal 'evolution'

and often sustained 'conscious effort' [until

they become 'natural' i.e. until the mind gets

'conditioned' to act that way to move beyond them.

What is your experience?

Regards,

ac

Is the process ever 'finished'? I'd say we move freely through

them all in the process of living awareness--living awareness.

The difference being, one is no longer 'stuck' in any particular one

except for as long as necessary to see where one is 'stuck' again.

It's a spiral dance.

They're all One, too.

Beyond cause and effect,

Beyond motive, intent and

Action, beyond effort

There is also

No motive

No action

Beyond all

Is pure

Being

All

'Finished' as in you have 'learned'

to 'live' and 'act' that way and as

a consequence, now acting that way

is 'ingrained', natural and effortless

in you!

Of course, the 'option' to 'fall'

might remain ALWAYS Open - being the

'human' [at certain level of 'evolution]

that we all are! But, acting at one level

and [even moving higher] would become

much more easier as we have learned and

embodied one level well.

There may be no " progress "

There may be no " regress "

There may be no " learning "

Nor " falling "

Nor " forgetting "

There may just be pure love

All the time:

Already.

One may need but merely to

Surrender completely

Or even partially

To it.

Now.

Or later.

Or never.

What motivates you to act?

the same motivation as Prisig's:

" Why, for example, should a group of simple, stable compounds of

carbon, hydrogen, oxygen and nitrogen struggle for billions of years

to organise themselves into a professor of chemistry? What's the motive? "

self.

there is none other.

we should know the motive from which we function, even if our action

benefits others. It is important to realise though that examination of

our motive for performing an act does not mean we should stop

performing the act if we discover that it stems from " wrong motive, "

but that we should not pretend the motive is other than it is in reality.

self is always 'good' and of 'right motive'. of course it's illusion.

Seek neither brilliance nor the void;

just think deeply, and work hard.

When still, be as the mountain;

When in movement, be as the dragon riding the wind.

Be aware at all times,

like the tiger which only seems to sleep,

and at all times let the mind be like running water.

if motivated to go to the mountain remember the only sage up there is

the one you bring.
