Guest guest
A man in his fifties approached RP and asks: I am sad because my son died. RP replies: And, what is wrong with that? The shocked man asked: Are you asking me, what is wrong with my son's death? No, that is not why you came to me. You came to me because you are sad. Tell me, what is wrong with you being sad. **** An elderly woman asked, I don't find peace. And, why is that you " should " find peace? Replied RP. **** Another man asked, I want enlightenment. Will you please help me? " You " want enlightenment... and, why should 'I' help you in that? ~~~~~~****~~~~~~ He then said, The effort to 'cheat' suffering, the 'effort' to 'fool' suffering, the effort to 'escape' 'suffering' creates the greatest suffering there is! And, that is only level of suffering that is unnecessary and avoidable. Rest of it is necessary, important and integral part for the workings of this universe. Any effort to avoid it is foolishness… and, it only creates more suffering! If enlightenment means end of suffering* then, it is among the most foolish and most illusory idea a human has ever imagined. Life, 'any' life can not survive without having the ability of existential suffering! ---- By Suffering*, I mean existential suffering here, not the psychological suffering which is only created because of the foolish effort to 'escape' suffering!
