Ken Wilber:

As usual Wilber speaks first about his books, because if you haven't

read (bought) his books, what are you doing here?

He would not say " the definition of science is such and such " but " I

give the definition of science in such book such chapter, and it is... "

There are three components in sciences i call the 3 wings of science.

1 - (Paradigm) Every tool we discover, like the microscope is an

" injunction " (go there and see that) to go and look into that

direction (the nature of the tool conditions the nature of the

discovery)...

[Here he says that the nucleus of the cell was discovered several

hundred years ago as in fact it was discovered only 160 years ago and

he pronounces twice " nuculus " for nucleus]

so Zazen too is an " injunction " and an injunction has always an

outcome called an experience or a " datum " or a satori; if you don't

follow the procedure you won't have the experience.

2 - (Empiricism) a confirmation (a double check for example)

3 - (Popper school) falsification (prove that any alternate

explanation would not work)

.... If you get through the various types of samadhi they will leave

their specific trace in your brain.

Science can prove that a person has experienced levels of spirituality.

Ken Wilber Stops His Brain Waves:

Wilber brings a portable EEG (electro-encephalograph), here he

explains that what we see on the screen is his left and right brain

activity live and he describes that it is very active (it's his!).

" As you can see my delta waves at the bottom of the screen are active

which is rare or pathologic, but in my case it shows a constant state

of witnessing " .

Now i'm entering a specific type of nirvikalpa samadhi and you'll see

the waves go to zero.[Here they cheat on the video, because maybe he

can't keep quiet for long enough so they freeze the picture as if the

EEG reading was sustained :-)] ... " and now i'm gonna do it with my
