There is no God, there is no soul, there is no Brahman within you. . . because, inside you there are " not two " ; because, inside you there is only you! When you look [inside] to find you. . . you find nothing; because what could be found is the very thing which is trying to find! When you start watching thoughts, thoughts start thinning and they slow down and ultimately disappear! Because when you get fully focused on watching; there is no one left to do thinking! Thinking continues only as long as your attention is slighted diverted - divided between watching and thinking! Inside you, there are not two. . . You are the very thing that you are trying to 'improve', 'change', modify or destroy! What is trying to change is the very thing that it is trying to change! And when taken to its extreme, it becomes a very painful, futile self-defeating exercise!
