Read the quote again Pete. Any words are of mind consciouness. There are other levels of consciousness to be in P: Mark, if you ever hope to get over words, you must be very precise about their meaning. Are you sure consciousness has levels like indoor parking? Or you simply mean if I am conscious of anger that is not as good as being conscious of love? Does consciousness change with its content? M: The whammer jammer sentance in the quote I think is " there is no I am in awareness. " P: So, where is this " I am feeling, " located then? If it's not in awareness, how come you can write about such thing? Can you write about what you are not aware of, or even about something you completely forgot? M: Hence that would mean there is no I am. There is only awareness aware of itself. P: You see Mark Maharaj used Awareness as another word for the Absolute, but even if he meant there is no I am in the Absolute, he was speaking metaphorically, because he also spoke of realizing the Absolute. And the Absolute (as Maharaj) was aware, and speaking of an I am.

Words do not matter, they either point the way to more mind or they point the way to nothing. Either way they both are still mind. There is no I am in absolute. I am is duality. There are levels of consciousness. When you sleep there is sleep conciousness. When you awake you were aware that you were asleep,do you not? When you are thinking and then stop, you are aware that you are in thought and then you are aware you have stopped,do you not? For certainly there moments of space in between your thoughts. Is that not another level of consciousness? If you meditate is that not another level of consciousness? If you are in the moment of orgasm where is the thought consciousness then. But yet all happens in awareness. Awareness doesn't come and go,it is who you are. You are not in it,it is in you. Non-metaphorically speaking. In what we call dreaming the visual center keeps flashing images, that the cognitive center tries feebly to put together. When awake we remember some of that. >N: When you are thinking and then stop, you are aware that you are in > thought and then you are aware you have stopped,do you not?
