Guest guest
Project 1: David Godman's Israeli friend Divya Lev has translated " I am That " into Hebrew and has a publisher who is interested in publishing it. Unfortunately, Chetana (who has the copyrights) is asking too much for the rights. Initially, $3,000 was asked, but after a bit of bargaining, the amount has been reduced to $2,000. This is far too much for a language such as Hebrew, which only has a few million speakers. The publisher has decided not to print since the amount asked by Chetana would not make the project viable in Israel. The translator is Divya Lev, an Israeli who has spent many years in India, and her email address is divyalev Divya Lev is a competent translator. She translated David Godman's " Be As You Are " into Hebrew a couple of years ago. Second project: Also, a Maharaj devotee donated me boxes of Maharaj satsang tapes last year. The devotee was with Maharaj 3 months near the end of his life. I sent these boxes to the writer David Godman in India. It's a lot of work to transcribe, sort and clean up the tapes. David Godman hired someone to transcribe the tapes and it's taking longer than I imagined. At the end of this hard work, Maharaj audio files will be available at David Godman's site www.davidgodman.org (and there's also a possibility of a book being published about Maharaj by David Godman based on these tapes). This announcement is to see if anyone is willing to help these projects. Money can be sent to David Godman's Paypal account simply by directing Paypal to send it to his email address, which is david_godman and it should be accompanied by a note that says it is for the Maharaj projects. If you'd like to find out more about David Godman please visit his site http://davidgodman.org and you can contact him directly david_godman at his email address.
