Guest guest
'Enlightenment' happened to me by accident. It gave me incredible peace and joy. It also gave me moments of great freight. I felt 'body-less', weightless, formless, undefined. I also felt moments and some time days of extreme body pain that I had never experienced before. Many nights I slept fully 'awake'. Some nights I also had moments of extreme terror and felt as if I was dying. I was greatly engrossed in 'what's happening to me' and I thought my " career " was pretty much over! .. . . But, now for about 4-5 months, I have been 'normal'.
Guest guest
I saw that enlightenment for most part was a very " selfish " quest. It was about 'I want to be peaceful', 'I want to be happy', 'I want to be free', 'I want to have knowledge', 'I want to know truth', 'I want to be free of pain' - why??? I saw that it was fueled by the same greed that many other endeavors in life are and not surprisingly this too, like many other selfish, narrow endeavors, was met with same resistance and often resulted in same conflict and pain. On little closer examination, I saw that Life was not really about " me " and because of this very reason, it resulted in conflicts and pain whenever I tried to make it about " me " . " Me " that I thought I was, itself was a product of Life. For a large part, this " me " had happened because the Life through a man and woman willed to birth, sustain, grow and protect it. Little later, this little " life " survived, grew, got education, job only because the Life through its many manifestation willed him to live, grow, learn and work in a job. Though, I did much of it thinking that it was " about me " and " for me " - that thought was nothing more than an illusion, an illusion which created pain and conflict. I saw that it was only through seeing and realizing this bigger picture that the right perspective could emerge. Me as a separate life-form was a barely tool through which Life was carrying its own process of growth, evolution, learning, experiencing, experimenting, adapting, imbibing, teaching. This life-form had occurred only because of Life and as an individual life-form, it was going to expire pretty soon. Its significance was only in what Life learned, experienced, experimented, thought and created through it; because whatever it did, in the end was going to 'benefit' [be used by] the Life itself. Guest guest
I knew very little about Christianity, but this Awareness of the Life Process, made me realize the Great significance of the concept of Conscious Service. It also made me Aware of the possible reasons, why someone supposedly 'enlightened' like Buddha, someone who thought all was 'false', still wandered village to village teaching villagers. It made me realize why someone like Shankara who taught 'non duality'; then, turned to 'service' and bhakti. I realized Life was growing, evolving, experimenting, experiencing. . . PLAYING and individual life-forms were the mediums through which this play was taking place. Every life form was destined to play a part in this 'leela' and in the end, whatever a life-form did was going to ONLY benefit Life itself. It benefited the Life that was bound to outlast and out-span each individual life. To be in alignment with this play was to look at EVERYTHING from the perspective of Life, it was to think from the perspective of Life and to realize and do consciously what intelligence saw serving the Play of Life. I realized that each and everybody was already doing it - irrespective of what each and everybody was really doing. Difference was only in whether someone was being " pushed " [often against their 'will'] to do so with the illusion of 'self interest' or if someone was doing it Consciously with its own Conscious Will [called " love " ]. To think and imagine that it was about " me " was to live in an illusion and the conflict and pain was the result of such illusion. To 'serve' Life Consciously was to be in its alignment, it was to use the awareness, intelligence that each life- form has to serve the Flow Of Life as intelligence SEES it! it was to ask each Moment. . . God [, Life, Universe, World, Leela, Play]. . . how can I serve you!

Guest guest
I realized that Life flows and that flow makes all individual life-forms think, will and act. The Flow of Life makes them do all that an individual life-form does. Individual life-forms on their level, participate in this flow because of three reasons: - Pain: pain remains the main motivator of an individual as long as he/she acts solely for him/herself. A life-form in this mode is moved by the fear and greed and their various incarnation like lust, rage, revenge, pity and shame. All of these emotions are in reality, just various forms of Pain! Individual still carries the task of Life in this mode, but, he/she does it with the illusion of 'self interest' and his/her operating modes and results are invariably of pain! - Acceptance and Surrender: This is the mode of those engaged in selfless 'service' or 'karma yoga'. This also includes life of those who have chosen to serve a principle such as truth and non-violence or love, kindness and forgiveness or beauty, melody, harmony and elegance. One's principles and chosen noble cause are considered more important than 'self' in this mode and Flow of life in this mode is carried as a sense of humble duty. This mode is marked by contentment and peace.
Guest guest
- Love: Beyond Pain and mere Acceptance is choosing to serve the Flow Of Life because of the Innate Awareness and Love that each individual carries within. Consciousness and Love are the motivator and guide of each action of individual. In this mode, Life and [individual] " life " is seen as ONE and what serves Life is seen as the only thing that serves Self. In this mode Life and Self are seen as one and the same; and, the individual becomes Conscious Willing participant in the Flow of Life. Love is the underlying emotion in this mode. A > life-form in this mode is moved by the > fear and greed and their various > incarnation like lust, rage, revenge, > pity and shame. > Once one loses touch with its innate Love; Pain is the only way through which Flow of Life can be carried. For this reason, losing touch with inner love, one invariably ends up in pain no matter what one does 'externally' to get rid of it. Pain is the only thing that CAN and DOES work on an individual who is fully engrossed in the illusion of 'self interest'. He/she has to see him/herself in pain in order to play its part in the Flow of Life. Therefore, it is no surprise that losing touch with love, acting solely for 'self interest', a person finds him/herself almost always 'in pain', because irrespective of anything else, Life does Flow! Dear Arvind, You are seeing a " bigger picture " . This is a sign of intelligence. Are you also able to solve the riddle which is presented to you through this bigger picture? This riddle about YOU: How you can experience " I SEE " and yet experience ME as a mere " tool of life " ... ? Best regards Stefan
