Namaste,

Yes I feel for the families of those killed and of the killer.

I couldn't help notice though that while cnn were talking about the

'massacre' the text on the bottom of the screen was reporting 150

civilians killed in Irak.

This again points out our Egos and Western opinion that some lives are

more important than others. The thousands of children that die of

starvation every night are not mentioned either. Then there is Darfur

and the holocaust there. I could go on forever.

There always seem something tragically selfish about it all, specific

mourning of some kind...........Tony.

To favor one's own is tribal and hardwired.

Mind is programmed to see difference.

The mechanism's survival quotient increases with increased discrimination.

Variance of skin color or other physical traits that differ from one's

own tribe are an indicator of threat.

Everyone is prejudiced......For the first hundred million

years.....our lives depended on it.

They still do.

The 'selfish' gene has been found??!! But alas, mes frères et mes

soeurs, the test of this era we live in IS all about moving beyond

that genetic disposition into the interlocking puzzle pieces of

brother/sisterhood/human kinship. If for no other reason than that

is the very meanss of survival--any & all genes, selfish or otherwise.

Our lives, our children's children's lives depend on it. Never

mind the 7 generations the American Indian spoke of and addressed in

their valuation of the future*.

'Tis sad indeed, Toomie.

It's here there everywhere and nowhere but in the mind that is

inconsolably sadly resolutely and thoroughly mis-taken, hijacked and

bushwacked by the senses coupounded and fractured, dis-located by

inconsequential consequences presently present in the ameliorated

annotated highly abject objective subject unexamined unattended in

the al-to-gether, re-hearsed though un-researched, mis-apprehened in

futile denial, caught empty-handed, without one iota of a clue as to

who's who.

A thoroughly modern dilemma.

But there's hope in the scope of a the trial of the century: the

100th monkey looks in the mirror scratches his/her head whilst a song

is playing overhead:

annaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! toombaru isn't saying it's sad honey. he's getting

off on what he believes will shock. of course it doesn't. it's just

another day in the life on the planet. he actually grooves on it dear.

and anna...this stuff has nothing to do with the 'modern age'.....it's

been going on since long before the monkey evolved into man...and on

even grander and more horrific(to some) scales than anything anyone

alive has witnessed. note anna, that he has not denied being a

holocaust denier...wonder why? it's not about compassion or love that

this guy spews his stuff...it's just all about strutting and showing

his (unfortunately rather dull and dumb) 'feathers' before

others...which he then goes on to tell that there are no

others.......this stuff isn't smart or wise or spiritual or even

worthy of a decent grade from a high school teacher. it's just plain

palaver for palaver's sake. how in the world could it be for your or

other's benefit when they believe there are no such animals. it's a

silly word game similar to card tricks you play on children.except

that most adults don't expect the kids to really believe that they

have magic or special powers...but toom. wants you to think just that.

wake up anna...toombaru NEVER will...haven't you figured THAT out by

now?

Ok. Anna is now in her deadly 'serious' mode.

It's like the Middle East Peace Forum I have been attending for the

past 3 or 4 months. The group came together in June of last year

as a serious effort to engage in a dialogic processs to resolve the

crisis in Israel/Palestine.

All these months have passed without a viable mission statement

agreed to by the group.

In the meantime, while points of order addressing 'rules' of

engagement in meetings are (imho, should be the least of our

concerns) hashed and rehashed, folks are living under deplorable

conditions on one side and living with random suicide bombings on the

other. Contiued death, destruction. Hatred.

It seems that there are folks, wittingly or unwittingly there, to

impede the process with 'formalities'. In counterpoint there should

also be a balance between acting as responsible adults with a

mission: we all say we're on the same page.

Peace.

Metta,

Anna
