Guest guest
I haven't read the book " the secret " not have I watched the DVD or listened to its audio CD. However, I have heard about it a lot. Curios, I scanned through it in Borders Bookstore a while ago. I read instances of someone talking about Parking Spaces and someone else talking about making lot of money. Just for the sake of it, I decided to give it a try and for a week, I was Immensely surprised to find parking places very convenient parking pace close to the entrance; no matter, where I went. My only logical and rational explanation was that perhaps, by being Intently Aware of 'parking places closer to entrance' - my eyes and brain were 'tuned' to look for them and find them much better than before. Before this experiment, thinking and believing that 'what's the use; all convenient parking places are taken anyway.'; my eyes and brain were trained NOT to look for them and thus did NOT 'see' them even if they were there and I NEVER waited for one to open up thinking that it is not going to happen anyway! This phenomenon lasted little over a week. Then, I noticed that I was not really that particular about finding a parking place very close to the entrance or one little far. It hardly mattered and plus walking was good for me. Also, there were many people with babies, children just with walking difficulties or rush who needed those parking paces far more than me. Since then, this phenomenon of finding convenient parking places has ended and I am back to parking the way I used to.

And, now I think how beliefs like 'people are mean' versus 'people are kind, compassionate and understanding' might work differently. How 'life is not fair' versus 'life is kind' might work. How there is no opportunity for me to make money, get educated, get work, start a business versus there is opportunity for me to make money, get educated, get work, start a business might work! Wouldn't one of them tune and train brain and eyes in similar ways to SEE and find them while other would make them not 'see' them?
Guest guest
I don't know anything about Wolinski except he had somekind of Big Taste when he met N. I saw a video on Youtube that showed N. discoursing and taking a drag now and again on a cigarette.I laughed and laughed. Most of the Advaita guys out today wouldn't think of doing that. Why? It's not healthy! Anyway, I think Robur is right.Whatever you do, buy or not buy, it will come of itself and you will probably think you had a hand in it.I really don't know anything about Oneness or the rest of it.But I caught on to the matter of choice about 30 years ago one night and it was the most blissful night of my life. However, most of the time I forget about it.But that knowledge is never far away and comes back clear and strong as often as I forget. adithya_comming <adithya_comming wrote: > I haven't read the book " the secret " > not have I watched the DVD or listened > to its audio CD.
