Guest guest
[...] >>This 'not thinking' happens when I meditate and meditation that particularly makes me " thoughtless " is. . . " Be what you are " as taught by Ramana. Many times, it removed dreams and 'unconsciousness' from my sleep and I slept simply eyes closed, body relaxed, mind peaceful, calm, thoughtless - yet, fully awake! Sleeping this way, not only startled me but, it made me wonder about " death " ! What if death was just like this - but, just no ears to hear, no skin to feel touch, no eyes to see, yet, calm, peaceful, thoughtless - Yet Fully ALIVE, fully Conscious, Fully Present! What if other than not having a 'physical body' to 'sense' and a 'physical brain' to record memories*, there was absolutely no difference between - " life " and Death??? --- * Memories - and, of course because of being " thoughtless " - no 'thoughts' to record. Also: Do you enjoy this state?I mean the state that comes with the Ramana meditation?

Which thing you mean here - Adrenaline rush? I read today that my recent Adrenaline rush might be due to change in waether which brings lot of sunshine into my room, early in the morning. Natural light supposedly stops production of sleep harmone and spurs up production of Adrenaline. When I imagine, I am able to direct this Adrenaline into a pleasnt feeling way. When I don't imagine or think [or think very little] this Adrenaline reamins stored and gets active whenever an opportunity arises. Could be dietary. Could be lack of exercise.Could be too much tea or coffee or cigarettes. But if it is brought on by meditation seems to me you shouldn't worry about it:What meditation brings, meditation will deal with--spoken by one who would not know a meditation if it came up behind him and bit him in the bleep. I don't think lack of exercise would cause Adrenaline rush. But, I do think that physical exercise can help dissipate excess Adrenaline. >> Could be too much tea or > coffee or cigarettes. Yes, it can be. One month Back, I completely stopped taking coffee. Nowadays, I only drink tea and I don't smoke. Thanks for your advice. I have 'experimented' a lot with many different kind of meditations and I am very interested in analyzing and understanding their effect to the best of my abilities.
