Guest guest
I'll make this succinct:I am new to this site. Don't know if this is appropriate but I want to do it. Today I purchased a 22 cal. revolver.Never owned a gun before.Bought it because I am the caretaker at the condo where I live.No one else on the site either has a gun or is in shape to use one. Bought it in case I am ever called upon to deal with a situation like the one that recently took place in Virginia.I recall and have recalled many times a story I read in the paper at the time of one of the Macdonald massacres--I think someone went into a Macdonalds and methodically shot 15 people. One guy escaped and ran next door screaming, " Give me a gun! Give me a gun! " I understand his feeling perfectly. This place where I live and work is in a fairly isolated spot but it is a rich area and not infested with criminals--neither was the Macdonalds nor the U. of Virginia. Ok.My point in bringing this up on this site is: What is a 60 year old guy who has been 40 years doing what he calls meditating for 3 or 4 hours a day doing contemplating facing down serial killers in his pijamas with a 22 cal. 7 shot revolver? Where did the poor schluck go wrong? I call this: Married to Contraction.I call this: Where I am at.I call this:What is happening.
