Flesh is grass

Looking at some grass today--a big lawn with sun on it--I thought " Why

don't I see that this is nothing but consciousness seeming to manifest

as something other than consciousness?Then I thought, " When does

consciousness ever manifest as consciousness?It either manifests as

thought or sensation or emotion or rock tree street etc.But when it

manifests as emotion sensation thought then we are apt to take it as

our own and consider it, if not consciousness, at least as possessing

consciousness.Grass we see as other. Outside.But, I thought, this

grass has some kind of quality , or value. I feel it when I look at

it.The greeness is vivid.It is extensive, vast.It has beauty. I feel

this too.I mean, I got to feeling that grass.The feeling quality of

the grass is how consciousness manifests as grass, I thought. Well, I

was really getting into this grass and feeling one with it--a

little.It was the best I could do for today. It was better than

nothing.
