The " me " is nothing but Consciousness. The form is another matter. But " me " is still Consciousness which has done the identifying within the body as a " me " . There is no responsibility then for a " me " . Absolutely correct. The " me " is insubstantial. Therefore, which " me " is to be held responsible? But if the " me " comes from Consciousness, Consciousness is going to be there, isn't it? It is there. It is here, and it will be here even when this body-mind organism is not here. That is the point. That is why the basic Zen question is, " What was your original face? What was your true nature before your parents were born?
