Guest guest
Three mediation techniques that I found very effective are: - Be As You Are* - taught by Ramana, I think this is the best meditation I have found and It is also instantaneous. It instantly does away with any extra thinking, doubts, effort and spiritual mishmash. - Remembrance - this is the easiest meditation which I found and this is a meditation, which is easily available to anyone anytime. It simply involves remembering the Peace, Love, Enlightenment, Feeling of Self, Feeling of Oneness that you have ever felt and then simply. . . abiding in it as long as you want. Once, brain and body has had an experience; it can also reproduce it. With repeated practice; it gets easier and easier and becomes almost automatic. Perhaps, this is the reason that whenever I remember mediation, witnessing - I simply reach the Self state - Be As You are State without having to go through watching involuntary thoughts. Involuntary thoughts simply stop by the simple remembrance of ANY of - LOVE, PEACE, Enlightenment, Meditation, Self, Happiness [yes, internally, I see and feel all of them as kind of Same - Just Being - 'I' - Self ]. - Death Mediation - This one, I learned after reading of Ramana's awakening experience. It involves imagining that you are dead and thus you are unable to do anything. Thus, you are able to stop a thought, you are unable to comment on a thought and you are unable to think a new thought on your own. This makes witnessing happen quite easily and quite quickly. ---- *. What does 'Be As You Are' mean to you?

Namaste, I wrote this some years ago, so I now have dispensed with a lot of the preliminary music and mantras, although I still do the hatha and breathing but not for so long.......Tony. http://www.geocities.com/aoclery/MEDITATION.htm
