my view on this is that:

the root-thought regarding *self-thought* (thoughts about

" oneself " and all related " issues " ) may very well be

" I am " ... which makes sense as any thought of the form

" I am X " has to start with " I am " .

self-thought is that which is " toxic " , delusional etc.

my point is that to generalize from that to saying that

*all* thought is delusional is an error.

if I ask you what numbers divide evenly into 142 there

is some thought that must go into that (which thought

may occur in radically different ways for different

people). But to solve that nevertheless does entail

thought by definition.

in my view it is healthy to be able to give the answer

to that question, and that to do so is not to " slip

into the error of dualist thinking " !

As to what you mean by " the root-thought is Self " ... I

can't be sure what you mean, as you have " Self " capitalized,

implying a special intended sense. If you mean by that

a different way of saying " the root-thought is 'I am' " then

what I say above applies. Otherwise, I would have to know

the meaning you intend for the term.
