Guest guest
They told you that there was no secret. But..........There is. There is a truth that can set you free. The mind man is designed to look forever outward into the ever-changing operations of the Great Machine. The Great Machine is so vast and complex that the identified mind is woefully inept at grasping its significance.....for it has none. The secret lies in a simple yet profound change of focus. The intellect is turned inwardly....and with a certain constant intent....the mind begins to see that it is not a single unified I. Nothing can change what we are...but the proper search can free a man from the delusions of what he thinks he is. There is a way.......beyond all the mechanical suffering.....and all that stands between you and your innate naturalness is your own ignorance of yourself. toombaru
Guest guest
I like what you said about one's naturalness and one's self-imposed ignorance. Yes, truth is one's own being, very natural. And there is nothing imprisoning you, but your own assumptions. Nothing came from outside and took away your natural state. Therefore, the only secret is what you're hiding from yourself. Hiding it because you think the truth must be unbearable, and needs to be controlled. And this is all that a conceptual entity can do, formulate ways to acquire, hold, avoid, and control. Whereas the truth one is, has no means to do any of these things. Yet, lacks for nothing, and is quite awesome in its own right. -- Dan Nisargadatta , " toombaru2006 " <lastrain wrote: > > > > > > They told you that there was no secret. > > But..........There is. > > There is a truth that can set you free. > > The mind man is designed to look forever outward into the > ever-changing operations of the Great Machine. > > The Great Machine is so vast and complex that the identified mind is > woefully inept at grasping its significance.....for it has none. > > The secret lies in a simple yet profound change of focus. > > The intellect is turned inwardly....and with a certain constant > intent....the mind begins to see that it is not a single unified I. > > Nothing can change what we are...but the proper search can free a man > from the delusions of what he thinks he is. > > There is a way.......beyond all the mechanical suffering.....and all > that stands between you and your innate naturalness is your own > ignorance of yourself. > > > > toombaru >

The self just keeps fine tuning itself.......Never is it able to see...that what it thinks of itself...... is nothing other then the residue of its own machinations. The odd thing.......there is absolutely nothing it do..... or not do to extricate itself from its own self created conundrum. Anything attempt to loosen the imaginary ropes... only makes them appear stronger. Any attempt to ignore them.....defines them. It appears that the only " way out " is understanding.......which seems to come after a fearless journey to morass of me. toombaru

I agree. And understanding is just a way to say " fearless awareness. " Fearless awareness isn't trying to get away, its " stand " is to be here, alone, honest. Fearless awareness reveals the dissolution of everything that was held (and one was holding one's constrictions and bonds, just as much as one's pleasures). Death and dissollution take everything, but not able to take integrity. Integrity isn't a personality trait, like most people think. Integrity is another word for " fearless awareness, " for " ruthless honest being-aware. " -- D.
