Rhubarb Gazing

I stood looking at my rhubarb today

5 plants in a row

they were completely full of sunshine

their skin was completley green without dead spots or bug holes

they were erect shining wind-dancing

I stood a long time watching them

again and again I thought:

what is it like with them?

how do THEY feel?

I wish I could say that one of them spoke and said:

we don't feel

unless you feel for us

i always feel for the rhubarb with my tongue when i eat a piece of

bumbleberry pie. it feels swishy, and says squishy like sounds when i

chew down while chowing. i often do this whilst sitting in the

afternoon spring sun. i do not think what it's like to be them though.

that's neat!

Realization of that is simple but dangerous: Nest time you open your

mouth, listen carefully. Be careful of your eyes though for you will

see a great light.

I was indulging in poetic license. What I really said to the rhubarb

was: Watch out that Bob Bobji Baba doesn't come grazing on you. And

One of the plants actually did speak and it said:You mean Booby Baba

don't you? And we enjoyed a hearty laugh.

okey dokey...i'll check out the 'nest'.

so you can listen and talk at the same time!

wowie!

can you pat your head and rub your tummy simultaneously too?

the eyes that see cannot comprehend the Great Light.

they are comprehended by that same Light which values them not.

it is beyond valuations or value.

the mouth ear and eye you speak of will never 'see the light'.

at the moment of Light..nothing more obtains.

when albert e. thought about what light would appear like to light he

developed the theory that would lead to the atomic age. which led to

the hippies and then on to the new age movement. the NAM has evolved

into the Dark Ages. and our hopes for the Enlightenment go unabated.

it's a merry merry-go-round.and no one will ever win..or lose. 'yes'

and 'no' are here not mutually exclusive. there actually is no

difference between these two or any two 'choices'. all is folly.
